Kiln Dried Birch Logs (Standard Crate) Including Kindling

I haven’t received my order yet so can’t comment on quality of product. Ordering process was straightforward though!

Delivery was late and on the one day I said I wasn’t available but…
Product is first class and well packaged as always.

Nice hot clean burn , easy to light and producing really nice heat straight away. Better than the logs I was buying from local supermarkets. Crate it came in was well packaged, as was delivered during a period of heavy rain, that kept the logs dry. Will be buying again when I next need to top up the wood stock.

Ordered for the first time from this company found the logs excellent quality for burning in my log burner very quick delivery and will definitely order again.

Would was delivered on the set date, high quality birch pallet delivery with the vast majority being of a more than decent size.

Trouble free transaction, logs are perfect for my wood burner and the kindling a welcome bonus. Good communication throughout and a very helpful delivery driver. Will definitely use again.

Quality bulk birch firewood. More volume for less money than my previous supplier. There was too much for my log store by a quarter. Delivery was prompt and trouble free

The fulfilment of the order was completed successfully. Logs delivered on a pallet wrapped. Unfortunately your delivery communication could be hugely improved. I had no idea of the date or time of delivery. With a result it was left on my drive as I was out. If I had been notified I would have put them straight undercover with the pallet truck. Now they have been on the drive throughout the storm and rain.

I made sure that I ticked the box requesting a 7.5 ton truck, but the delivery turned up in an 18 ton truck. This meant that a nearby road was blocked for the duration of the delivery and that I spent time stopping traffic and apologising.

As per title, this was my first time buying logs from Candowe but doubt I would use again. Whilst the standard crate is offered with 4 ‘free’ bags of kindling, they remove half the top layer of logs to fit them into the crate, so 20-30odd logs short…so, not really free! Other suppliers have put them on top of the logs so you’re not getting shorted.
Also, logs were typically thin diameter, with numerous pieces no thicker than the kindling. Ok for oak or slower burning wood, but for faster burning birch, not much more use than fire lighters (and I have my kindling thanks).

I have been waiting 10 days for it to arrive.
No communication as to when it is arriving, not great.
The wood may be amazing but I can’t really comment as it hasn’t arrived yet.

Changed delivery date but refunded charge and sent an extra box of logs.

Product looks good. Selected courier let you down with slow delivery.

Ordered Crate+Kindling, Crate arrived minus kindling.

Ordered a standard crate of kiln dried birch logs. Excellent delivery experience. Got allocated a time on day of delivery and they were delivered to exactly where I wanted them. Not burnt any yet but look good quality.

Arrived early hence the 4 stars as it was only by luck someone had been in arrived the day before we had booked it for.

ordered in advance, delivered on the requested day, great wood, good size and ready for winter.

Logs delivered in an orderly fashion although I would have been happier to have had some prior warning of the delivery. As happened my wife had some valuable assistance from a couple of neighbours in splitting the crate open and piling the logs on the rear garden (not quite adjacent to the rear garden log store but close enough. It’s now going to take some time to get the logs tucked away in the man made storage container. I’ve made start by utilising an area just right of the log burner to store and display a good deal of logs - an area about 4 to 5 logs wide x floor to ceiling. They will look attractive and will be readily available to use come October. If I can create more storage I will be able to purchase more logs.

Prompt delivery from friendly Driver too

Despite starting that i have a steep driveway, the crate was delivered in a large truck which the driver did manage to reverse up, but then could not unload the crate. On calling upon management the driver was not supported and told to leave it on the road, which would have been impossible for me to move. Fortunately a neighbour was able to manually unload the wood from the lorry and I was able to stack it, albeit late in the evening. The wood is fine but I will not use this company again.

Very happy with logs and service, just stacked and ready for any cold spring evenings!
