FAQ
Which types of kiln-dried firewood should I choose?
At Candowe, we specialize in offering three types of premium kiln-dried firewood:
Kiln Dried Birch Firewood: Birch logs are highly regarded for their exceptional burning qualities. They are easy to light, produce a beautiful flame, and emit a delightful aroma. Our birch firewood is sourced from carefully selected trees and undergoes a rigorous kiln-drying process to achieve optimal moisture content and cleanliness.
Kiln Dried Alder Firewood: Alder logs are known for their quick and easy lighting properties. They burn efficiently, providing high heat output and a lively flame. Our alder firewood is carefully kiln-dried to ensure low moisture content, making it an excellent choice for those who struggle to get their fire going or prefer shorter burning sessions.
Kiln Dried Beech Firewood: Beech logs are a popular choice among homeowners due to their excellent heat output and versatility. Whether you need firewood for a wood-burning stove, open fire, or even a pizza oven, our kiln-dried beech firewood is suitable for various applications. It is sourced from sustainably managed forests in northern Europe and dried to ensure optimal burning efficiency.
By offering only the highest quality kiln-dried firewood in birch, alder, and beech, we aim to provide you with a superior fire experience. Our carefully selected logs are ready to burn, delivering convenience, warmth, and eco-friendliness to your home.

Using Candowe Wood Logs - Best Practice
How should I store my kiln-dried firewood logs?
To ensure the best quality and performance, it is important to store our kiln-dried firewood logs in a dry place, away from direct contact with moisture. These logs have been carefully dried to an optimal moisture level, and storing them properly will help maintain their quality over time. We recommend storing them in a well-ventilated area or a log shed with proper airflow, and if stored outdoors, covering them with a waterproof tarp or cover can provide added protection.
Can I use the logs on an open fire?
Absolutely! Our kiln-dried firewood logs are suitable for use in open fires, wood-burning stoves, and other fireplaces. They have been specially processed to ensure easy lighting, beautiful burning, and a delightful aroma. Whether you prefer the cozy ambiance of an open fire or the efficient heat output of a stove, our logs will provide you with a satisfying fire experience.
How to maximize the burn time of the logs?
To get the most out of your kiln-dried firewood logs and extend their burn time, we recommend using a combination of smaller and larger logs. Start by using smaller logs to establish a good base of burning embers, and then gradually add larger logs to maintain a steady and long-lasting fire. Additionally, ensuring proper airflow by adjusting the damper or air vents can help optimize combustion and prolong the burn time of the logs.
